I love this vid so much!!!

Which you probably guessed, what with the smooching and all. (:

It was so great to meet you.
17th-Aug-2007 07:10 pm (UTC)
Yayyy! Thank you! I was very chuffed to get smooched by you, believe me, and have been boasting of it ever since. :-)

I wish it could be Club Vivid again Real Soon Now.

I love this Mary! So many fandoms and so much fun. The sword and then the implement fighting stuff at 0.37 is probably my fav section and then the foot stomping starting at 1.26 is excellent too. It was great to see many of my fandoms included as well as some clips I didn't recognise. It just means I'll have to go back and watch it again and again to catch them all. :D
17th-Aug-2007 07:16 pm (UTC)
*beams* Thanks so much for such lovely feedback! I'm so glad you liked the implement fighting, that was one of my favorite bits to work on. (Luckily I had friends to tell me about the Highlander spoon/turkey fight, which I might not have found on my own.)

I took your vid DVD to VVC with me, by the way, and we watched a good deal of the vids in our hotel room and admired them muchly. I wish you could have been there, but this was the next best thing. :-)
17th-Aug-2007 08:03 pm (UTC)
I still love this vid, and I miss you already!!!!!!!!!

My roommate and I are LOVING the cookies, though. ;-)
17th-Aug-2007 10:33 pm (UTC)
I'm glad you like the stroopwafels and I hope you had a good trip back! *twirls you*
17th-Aug-2007 08:25 pm (UTC)
That was adorable. The Court Jester?!?? Are you kidding me? HEE!
18th-Aug-2007 01:15 am (UTC)
Aww, yay, thanks! I love that you caught those clips - I really tried to put some not-so-familiar things in there, and The Court Jester is one of my favorite movies.
17th-Aug-2007 10:46 pm (UTC)
Sheer bloody genius! I loved it. Perfect cutting together of scenes, I'm in awe of the precision. You hit every beat every time; visually, musically and lyrically. Just superb. I bow at your feet.
18th-Aug-2007 01:17 am (UTC)
Thanks so much for your very kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and I just wish you could be here on ltlj's couch and watch more vids.
18th-Aug-2007 01:16 pm (UTC)
Oh, so much fun! I came back to snag the bigger version because disk space be damned-- this is a complete joy. Every time I thought I couldn't be any more delighted with the clips, there was a beat-perfect moment from another old or new love. Thanks so much for the big happy grin and my DANCING FEET. Whee!

Thanks so much, and yay for grins and dancing feet! *twirls you*
That's exactly the response I was hoping for from this vid, so this was very good to hear.

This was AWESOME. The song and vid were perfect, and it was TONS of fun playing "Spot the fandom". Thank you so much!

Thanks so much! It definitely is a vid of fannish joy for me, I'm glad that came across.

Yay, thank you!

This vid makes me so *so* very happy! I started laughing in the first second or two, and laughed out loud all the way through (with breaks for cheers at a couple spots: you included Spock! And a clip from The Sting!) and was clapping and dancing and laughing by the end!

I really loved the clips I recognized -- and really want to watch the shows of the clips I didn't recognize. Really, this is the most fun I've had alone in a long, long time!

Thank you so much!
18th-Aug-2007 09:31 pm (UTC)
*beams* That is just wonderful feedback to get, thanks so much!

There's some tiny fandoms in there, thanks to the help of friends like Dorinda who waxed enthusiastic about the Persuaders and I Spy. (I have been watching the Persuaders and would recommend them to anyone as a guaranteed mood-lifter.) If you want to know where any specific clip came from, just ask. :-)
18th-Aug-2007 03:46 pm (UTC)
I didn't know all the fandoms, but this was a lot of fun to watch. Very energetic.
18th-Aug-2007 09:32 pm (UTC)
And once again you come through with the perfect icon. Hee! I am so glad you enjoyed the vid.
18th-Aug-2007 03:53 pm (UTC)

Yay, thanks so much!
18th-Aug-2007 06:24 pm (UTC)
this is UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC. (and has nudged me that much closer to giving in and watching life on mars, hee.) omg, i can't stop CHAIRDANCING.
18th-Aug-2007 09:34 pm (UTC)
hee hee hee. I am bouncing with glee at the idea that other people are Out There Chairdancing To My Vid.

Thanks so much for telling me! (Also I must admit I have not actually watched Life on Mars myself yet, just wandered through looking for clips, but it does look fabulous.)
18th-Aug-2007 07:11 pm (UTC)
This vid brought me great joy. Thank you for making and sharing it. I love the range of sources you used.

19th-Aug-2007 02:00 am (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know!
18th-Aug-2007 11:17 pm (UTC)
(Here via giglet.)

Oh, I have SUCH GLEE! This vid is AWESOME! And I am mono-fannish, so usually I watch multi-fandom vids going, "Don't know it. Don't know it. Eeeee, DS! Don't know it. That's SGA. Don't know it." But this was full of sources I KNEW, and incredible energy and so beautifully put together! *still much with the glee; not so much with the coherence*

Thank you!
19th-Aug-2007 02:09 am (UTC)
Hee, yay, thank you! And fannish glee is exactly what I was going for, so your reaction makes me happy. I'm so glad this multi vid worked better for you than usual.

Truly fabulous!
19th-Aug-2007 03:00 pm (UTC)
Thank you!
19th-Aug-2007 07:30 am (UTC)
I love that so much! I'm having a really difficult time not absolutely howling with laughter.

I love all the HtLJ clips, and everything else, but the pink motorcycle helmet comparison and the table dance from Hair really stood out.

Now I have to watch it a bunch more times.
19th-Aug-2007 03:07 pm (UTC)
*beams* Howling with laughter is absolutely okay with me. (Though if you are at work, I suppose it would be unwise.) I love that you saw the pink helmet -- er. Let me rephrase -- the pink motorcycle helmet switch from DW to Angel, I wasn't sure if that would come across, but evidently it did, so yay!

I owe aka_arduinna and therienne the table dance clip, which was one of my favorites too, along with the dancing horses.

I'm so glad you liked the vid, and thanks for recommending it! That is very happymaking.
19th-Aug-2007 02:05 pm (UTC)
Ahahahaha this is brilliant! Thank you for sharing!
19th-Aug-2007 03:09 pm (UTC)
Hee, I'm glad! Thanks for letting me know you liked it!
19th-Aug-2007 02:24 pm (UTC)
Multi-fandom vids are so much fun, and this I can't see. Bugger. Can't get it to work in Windows Media Player. How is that? *curious*
19th-Aug-2007 03:16 pm (UTC)
Argh, that is bad! Thanks for telling me about the problem.

The only thing I can think of is that you may not have the latest version of WMP or that your WMP does not have the divx/xvid codec, which I used to make the vid's online versions. (I tested the vid in an old WMP and a new one on a couple of computers, and it worked in those, so it's hard to pinpoint the exact problem.)

Best solution I can offer is to install a small program called VLCplayer, which plays just about anything and has all the video codecs already on board. This is the program generally recommended to play vids and other video, and it doesn't have any spyware or ads or anything like that. It is free and you can download it here.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have problems in VLC!

This was fabulous! I loved the parallel bits from so many different sources - it was just awesomely clipped and timed and, wow.

Thanks for the feedback and the good travel wishes! Both are much appreciated.

Making things flow in a vid isn't second nature to me yet (I wish) but I think I have gotten more of an eye for it, so I'm glad to hear that that worked for you.
20th-Aug-2007 08:12 pm (UTC)
Sent here from muccamukk. Thank you; that was so much fun, and so well put together. I'd never have the patience to find all those clips, even if I knew how to do it!
22nd-Aug-2007 10:45 pm (UTC)
Aww, I love your Hiro icon! Thanks for the feedback. I had a lot of fun finding clips, but it really helped that I had generous friends share some of their DVD collection with me for this vid. (And also that I have a fast internet connection for downloading, ahem.)
